Jun 05, 2012 · Per the instructions on the wiki page for my Asus RT-N16, I initially flashed my router with the Stable “14929” version – (dd-wrt.v24-14929_NEWD-2_K2.6_mini_RT-N16.trx). Post Installation Instructions. Once I successfully completed this, the instructions indicate you can upgrade to the latest version. Get it from usual place, V24-K26/svn13297, use dd-wrt.v24-13297_NEWD-2_K2.6_mini_RT-N16.trx for first upgrade, then use any .bin (I recommend "big" build for this router) You can simply use GUI to upload trx file; or tftp in recovery mode (press reset button, plug power). DD-WRT’s strengths are worth something, but overall I’m a lot more comfortable plugging something running Merlin into the hostile Internet. That said, I’m perfectly fine with running DD-WRT inside my firewall as an access point. Doing a file transfer shows the rate is almost double the speed as the DD-WRT KingKong firmware. Can someone recommend a way to get DD-WRT KingKong on Asus RT-N16 router to get the 300 mbps rate which is possible on stock firmware? All my other settings are at default. Thank you! When I execute the commands, nothing happens.
